Abbrevations used in book descriptions A book described, for example, as VG/P means that the book is in very good condition and its dust wrapper is in poor condition. The condition of the book is placed first and the condition of the wrapper (if there is one) is placed second. This grading system is based on the amount of use a book has had. Older books may have defects not caused by use, such as fading, foxing or dust soiling. Any such defect is included in the description. Some of the other abbreviations used in the descriptions are explained below. |
